ABOUT US
Founded in 1984 by Riccardo Massetti in Vancouver, B.C. (Canada) to market salmon caught aboard the family fishing vessel “Western Chief”, Seafood Quality Specialists evolved over time and became SQS Network SAS in 1990.
We were pioneers in the import of smoked wild salmon from Canada by air as early as 1985, and since 1989 we have introduced frozen fresh salmon, to the European market, not only from Canada, but also from Alaska. In 1993 we were the first to open the European market to Chilean Salmo Salar, followed by coho in 2011.
Over our 40 years in business, we have introduced new species and seafood products to the market that were previously unknown, even contributing to the creation of new customs codes at the EU level. We have promoted protection consortia for smoked salmon, starting in 1994 with wild salmon, and more recently with the CAMI Consortium, established at the end of 2023.

in Canada, the United States, and Latin America, bringing to the Italian market leading seafood producers and companies with whom we have maintained strong relationships for decades.
